What’s in a handshake?

The first impression, the last impression, a handshake is an extremely important gesture.
So, it would seem that something that is so important for a positive first impression should be taught at an early age, but where do we learn such skills at home or at school?
Many employers complain about the lack of confidence in a handshake and lack of eye contact when interviewing young people, yet where do our youngsters learn such often simple but valuable life skills? In an ever increasingly competitive job market, skills like these are essential.
Should we include the teaching of this skill in our schools from an early age, so that when our children reach the age where they will need these valuable and important life skills, they can be applied when needed with confidence?
