What Makes A Good School ?

As parents we all want our children to attend a good school. What constitutes a good school will be different for every parent.

So, what does make a good school? and do we have the power to shape a good school?

Inspirational teaching practice, modern facilities, access to extra- curricular activities, healthy eating programmes will all be on the list, however does the building of a good school go much deeper and begin with an attitude to education that needs to be instilled before our child walks through the door on the first day at primary school? Does a good school begin with a positive attitude to education by all that attend or work in a good school? If the right for every child in the UK to have access to our education system was removed, would its value be greater?
